I have 11 pictures so the auction page may take time to load. This is a very large and heavy glass or crystal lamp part in Amethyst. I'm not an expert by any means and I tried my best to research this piece. It looks like cut to clear and you can feel the beautiful etching or cuts. I believe the Amethyst color to be either flashed or reverse painted as t are small spots inside w the color has been scratched, it is NOT peeling or flaking...simply scratched, which isn't noticeable except on close inspection. The last two pictures are close up shots of the scratches. When I cleaned it absolutely nothing but dust and dirt came off and the color was not affected. Other than that and normal ware around the openings, t are no major chips, cracks, or other damage. Enough of a gold sticker remains to let us know it was made in Germany. If you'll notice in some of my close ups you can see a sort of cranberry iridescence when the light hits certain spots. Please excuse the reflection from my window. This is a truly stunning, thick and heavy vintage lamp part!
