This auction is for an absolutely stunning one of a kind circa 1940s Art Deco light mahogany cocktail wet bar, which would be perfect in either your home or business. Included are four (4) beautifully upholstered chrome bar stools (which spin effortlessly) and stainless steel sink. The frosted glass in back even lights up by a flip of a lightswitch on the upper left hand side! You have to see this wonderful piece to believe it.
This g orgeous Art Deco cocktail bar, which I believe is made of both blond and light brown mahogany, upholstered in beige and green Naugahide or vinyl with blond wood tone Formica counters, is actually in two pieces, (1) the back portion which in addition to its back shelf, has 3 pull drawers and 3 cupboards (2 shelves). It measures approximately 78.0" high by 72.0" across by 18.5" deep, at its widest points. The front counter portion has a stainless steel sink/shelf unit which fits into it, a front top counter trimmed in darker mahogany trim (which matches the back portion of the unit) and a foot rest. It measures approximately 44.5" high by 70.0" across by 28.0" deep, at its widest points. Four bar stool fits up to it. Each bar stool measures approximately 31.0" high by 23.0" across, at its widest points. The back mirrored portion drawers and cupboards have matching chrome pulls set it off to perfection: very rich, simple and stylish. There is a golden mirror diamond in the center and matching inside mirror panels; and two rose colored mirror rectangles facing the front. Truly a spectacular look. The storage drawers are perfect for any cutlery or silverware, while the cupboards are great for any type of storage including beverage cans or bottles. It also comes with its original bottle opener, metal holder and the original glass panel for the back shelf, to place your liquor bottles (please see photos). If you know someone who has a hall, bar or restaurant that needs a great cocktail/liquor bar that looks like it has been there since the 1940s, this may be the perfect one for them! Overall, for its age, it is in very nice condition. There are no rips, tears or repairs to any part of the upholstery on the stools or bar. However, as you can see from the photos, there are some scratches on the very left rounded back portion of the bar. Also, in the very back right lower corner (where it would be placed next to the wall), there is about a 3mm raised portion of the wood that extends up about 3 inches, that occurred in the last move. It is not at all noticeable from the front, however, I wanted to note it just the same. Please take that into consideration if it bothers you. For these reasons, I am listing this sale, "as is". I have lovingly taken care of it since I first purchased it over 50 years ago. I am hoping someone who will appreciate it as much as I have, will do the same. This beautiful piece should really be moved professionally , as it is sizeable and has to go up 16 steps from the lower level where it currently is placed, to the upper level and then out the door. For that reason, I will be listing this as "Local Pick Up Only" as the set is just too large for me to crate myself. I live in western Michigan in the Lake Michigan resort town of Saugatuck (Zip Code 49453), near Holland. There is a professional shipping service that I have had very good luck with in the past. They professionally package and ship most over-sized items. I highly recommend Navis Moving. To contact Navis for a quick quote, please call Ross Gilmore (General Manager) at or Fax . E-mail: . All they need is the eBay auction number, address and dimensions from the listing. I am not connected to this shipper in any way, I have just had good luck dealing with them. If you are looking for a wonderful addition to your beautiful home or business look no further. Again, I am listing this as Local Pickup Only ; however, if you choose to have it crated and shipped via the service noted above (or your own shipper), it will be the responsi...
