Large Antique Sterling Silver Flatware Chest/Case/Box This is a lovely Antique flatware chest. Piece is in fantastic condition. No chips, cracks, breaks, or damage. Comes with its original key, which fits and locks with ease. Soft, burgundy velour to the inside lining. Brass hardware and pulls intact and secure, and side handles make it portable and easy to move. I am uncertain if this is oak or mahogany; however, it is solid wood (not a reproduction). The top opens and closes with ease, as do the two drawers under it, and each section holds many pieces. Original satin label "Freed's, Pittston" still attached to inner lining. T is a brass monogram of a "B" on the top. Measures 23" long x 18.5" wide x 12" high. I have provided many photos, so bid with confidence! Stunning early chest for your sterling and flatware collection. Please note: If interested, I have a Mission oak server/caddy listed this week, which this chest fits into perfectly.
