Rare and very difficult to find is this Hull decorative plate in the Bow Knot pattern. Matt finish, numbered series that began in 1949, in pastel colors that include mauve/pink, blue, buttery yellow, blue/green and cream. Tulip, Blue Bell flowers, Foliage, and swirling ribbons around the outer edges, strong raised relief pattern, and with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Incised backside that reads: U.S.A., Hull - Art , B- 28- 10. Actually measures 11" across and has fired hole in back for hanging and twisted wire hanger. Some normal light crazing that testifies to its age and heritage. Some tiny manufacturing pitting (from bubbles during firing process), and few tiny bits of excess clay can be seen when examined closely. These do not distract from the beauty of this timeless piece and can be seen if one looks hard at close up photo) Charming piece for serious Hull collector, vintage pottery lover, for decorating with historical artwork, and ready to become a family's hierloom to be enjoyed by generations to come. Vintage hand stitched pink and blue tablecloth beneath plate is not part of this auction but will be auctioned at a later date.
