Very special pierced earrings! These are a large, romantic pair of vintage14K solid gold heart earrings for pierced ears. They consist of two sections with the top being a rounded circle above a three stacked disc- like design. Hanging from this is a hollow, smooth puffy heart dangle which is rounded on both sides. They swing back and forth and you can see w they dangle from in the photos. The earrings have post backs for pierced ears and safety backs as well, and are marked 14K under the clasp in the back. I had these earrings made for myself in the early 1980's as a 'divorce present' for Valentines Day. I wanted to acknowledge my love for myself so these were my gift that year after a troubling divorce. These represented my "I am woman, hear me roar" era of emancipation and self-actualization. Now that I have arrived at a relatively, fully emancipated state, I am buying a new pair for myself with diamonds and rubies and thought I would share these with some lucky lady out t They will make a fabulous gift to yourself or have someone buy them for you! The auction finishes in time for me to get these to you for Valentines Day so bid away! The earrings are quite large and showy, measuring 7/8" wide and hanging 1 ¾" long.
