This is a magnificant and spellbinding satin glass vase with a diamond quilted pattern in the glass. It appears to imitate a beautiful pineapple. Beautiful art glass with pontil on the bottom. This awesome vase is about 13" tall. I am not sure how the prodecure is done to create this wonderful vase, but the quilted diamond pattern is a different texture from the inbetween lines and creates a sense of depth to the glass. The vase starts with the beautiful yellow at the bottom and the diamonds have a goldish sheen to them. As the vase goes up the green becomes darker and darker. Toward the tops, the diamond shapes which are not stretched very long have a peacock blue sheen to them. So beautiful! I have had this vase about 45 years, since I was a teenager and hate to part with it. My mother who was an antique lover gave it to me for my hope chest. I so hope that someone will appreciate it as much as I have and take good care of it. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks. I will wrap this carefully and ship in a large box. I only charge actually postage plus a small $1.00 handling fee. If postage turns out to be less, I will refund the difference.
