LG VINTAGE HAND PAINTED BEADED 15" ROYAL SATSUMA VASE No Reserve Up for your consideration is this absolutely stunning LARGE VINTAGE HAND PAINTED BEADED 15" ROYAL SATSUMA FOOTED VASE. Intracatly detailed with tourquoise beading on a black background and gold gilt highlighting, this unusual square shaped footed vase stands approximately 15" tall x 7-1/4" wide x 5" deep. This features panels on all four sides with intraticately detail oriental paintings. The front and back of this piece also have panels on the neck of the vase while the sides are adorned with intricate twisted golden handles. Each painted panel is framed with a decorative gold frame and surrounded by various flowers and golden highlights. the front and back body panel is of three oriental women in what appears to be a garden. The neck panels are of what appears to be a roof section with a flowered branch protruding from under the roof. The side panels have a flower design with dark blue beading on a white background. These are surrounded by four smaller areas of flowers with flower designs above and below on the apex of the vase. The foot features a dark red band with gold brush highlights and a gold band around the top and bottom. The square flared top of this vase is outlined in gold and the inside is a light green color, matching the background of the front and rear panels. The bottom has the following handwritten in red under the glaze "HANDPAINTED ROYAL SATSUMA" along with a string of oriental writing and the numeral "3". PLEASE SEE PICTURES (top and bottom of page). Obtained from an estate, this piece is in near mint condition with no chips, cracks, nicks, dings etc. T is some age crackling but it appears only on the lighter colored areas. It is not evident on the red band, the black beaded background or the handles. The gold highlighting and the very heavy gold on the handles is nearly perfect with very little signs of wear. Even the gold on the top lip of the vase is in good shape. The only flaw I can notice anyw is a bit of wear on the points of the horizontal part of the handles right w it meets the vase and looks as if it just wasn't applied as thick as the rest. As this seems uniform on all the points, it may be only part of the painting process and not actual wear as the rest is in such excellent shape. This would make a wonderful additon to any home or oriental collecton. Certain to gain in value over the years and sure to be welcome by any avid collector.
