LG VINTAGE ROCOCO BRASS CACHE POT FROM PARIS FRANCE Still retaining a portion of the old paper label on the underside that reads: MACY ET CO PARIS, the Cache Pot is made of Brass and is quite large. It has a very fancy style and you will note t is a face on each side of the Cache Pot. T are also swags, scales and beading pressed into the brass. The handle on each side is one piece and was formed to fit the pot and extend down to become the foot. That piece has a Griffin or Gargoyle silhouette and those pieces were made of cast brass as were the other reticulated feet. CONDITION: Excellent - although you need to know t are a few small dings and a couple of the "beads" were pressed too hard in the making and t is a hole in the brass. These are not obvious unless held up to the light. MEASUREMENT: 8 1/2" to the top of the handles and 15 3/4" at its widest.
