This auction is for a large vintage framed reproduction of Erich Corren's "Southern Belle." He was a German artist who was born in 1821 and died in 1877. The young woman he painted in this picture was the daughter of a wealthy jeweler. This original now hangs is a museum in Germany w it is one of the main attractions. This picture is very beautiful but it does have flaws, so please bid accordingly. The frame has some green dots of paint that are showing through out the the frame. Please see pictures. A fresh coat of gold paint should correct that problem. T are two large scraped areas on the sleeve and on the dress that appear to be touched up and some point. You can see this in my pictures. T are also 2 smaller scrapes that you can see in my "red" area close-up. T are also 2 of the smaller scrapes right at the end of her sleeve. These can also be seen in my pictures. T are also a few dots of scratched area through out the picture which does not show up in my pictures. Now all of these "boo-boo's" may sound pretty bad, but this displays beautifully. I think it just adds to the "antique" like look AND your chance at a bargain. I see these pictures in Antique stores all the time with a price tag of $100 to $350. The picture is approx. 32" tall and is approx. 26" wide.
