This exquisite locomotive model was purchased new by me in the early 1980s. According to LGB’s 1985 catalog, this twin engine locomotive was the most powerful in their line. All axles are driven and all twelve wheels pick up current. T is directional lighting at both ends and t is a smoke generator for the smokestack (a smoke fluid cartridge is not included). The smoke-box door at the front of the engine opens and t is a three-position switch. Position 0 parks the engine with electricity turned off (so another working engine can occupy the track block). Position 1 has the motor off, but the smoke generator and lights can turn on when power is applied. Position 2 is for operating the engine motors with smoke and lights on. I made one alteration to the engine. To “Americanize” it, I painted the red wheels and buffers black. The engine includes both an engineer and fireman. It has a beautifully detailed bulkhead. The engine has seen limited use, is in excellent condition and comes in its original box. Recently tested and runs fine. Enjoy. The free listing tool.
