Up for auction is a 9" by 1 3/4" low bowl or nappy cut in the Radiant pattern by the Libbey Glass Company of Toledo, OH in the 1920's. The bowl is shown in Fauster's comprehensive work Libbey Glass since 1818 on page 290 . The bowl is signed Libbey circle. According to the catalog reprint "The Radiant Pattern, as suggested by its name, is a brilliantly cut star, radiating the complete range of prismatic colors; a wide silver diamond cut band frames the pattern."This piece is in used condition. There are scratches on the inside surface of the bowl and there are chips, which may be seen in the pictures in the arms of the "brilliant cut star". There are also several small flakes on the rim. All of the defects could be repaired by a professional cut glass repairman. I am selling this piece for a friend in 'As Is' condition. Please check out the pictures to see the defects yourself.
