Liberty Aesthetic Mission Qsawn Oak Moorish Table c1890 Our latest container recently arrived from the UK, and this item is from it. We have more extraordinary things that we'll be listing in the coming days and weeks, from the 17th century through the Georgian and Victorian periods to the Gothic Revival, Aesthetic, Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco Movements and later. Be SURE to check out our other auctions!!! This is another STAGGERINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND VERY RARE PIECE An Original and Genuine Antique English Victorian Aesthetic Movement Transitional to Arts and Crafts Mission Hexagonal Six-Legged 'Moorish Revival' Occasional Table, in Quartersawn Oak, Retailed by Libertys of London, Dating to c.1890..! It is a magnificent table, and an exceedingly rare one, see 5 pics above and 5 below. Of solid quartersawn oak, it features a hexagonal top supported by six turned legs united by fretwork Moorish sections above a hexagonal undershelf stretcher. It is of the impeccable quality one would expect from the leading English Victorian retailer of top-end furniture, and is a of a highly-prized design appreciated both then and now by everyone including the connoisseur. The top measures 18 1/2" across the flats and 21 1/4" across the points, and the table is 28" high. It is sturdy and stable, without looseness of joints. When one can find a Liberty Moorish Revival table of this design in oak, they are priced at $1000, and I am happy to supply links to an identical table currently available online from one of the leading antique Arts and Crafts Mission furniture houses in the UK. Ours is priced 20% below that, making this a REAL bargain for someone! I think it fair to say you will never see such a rare and desirable table offered at such a low price ever again! Given its size when packed, the only sensible way to ship this is by Greyhound, and the shipping cost quoted is for Greyhound delivery to their terminal nearest you, wver you may be in the 48 states. Fedex delivery to your door is available, but it will be costlier. I am happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, or BUYERS ARE WELCOME TO COLLECT AT NO COST This is a genuine antique Liberty of London oak table - Be SURE to check out our other auctions!!! 'The Yorkshireman Antiques & Collectibles' always has the esoteric and unusual English items we're renowned for. The one thing we DON'T have is reproduction. EVERYTHING we sell is original and genuine, as anyone who has ever bought from us knows very well. I am English, and my wife and I go to England regularly and buy EVERY item ourselves. We do NOT buy pre-loaded containers. Every item we offer has been found by us, haggled-over and bought by us, carried, wrapped and packed in a container by us and then shipped to the US by us. We control the quality of what we buy and we know the source of EVERY item we sell. Our particular interests lie in Arts and Crafts Mission items and Art Nouveau, though we have everything imaginable, from c.1600 to the 1930s. N.B. Please be aware that ALL the items we sell are at least vintage and often truly antique. Vintage and antique items HAVE flaws, e.g. scratches, marks and wear and tear. We try to describe our items accurately, detailing the flaws we consider worthy of separate mention, but our opinion of condition remains subjective. We do not mislead and include all the information we have regarding an item's condition within the auction listing. Unfortunately, we are not experts, in anything. We are knowledgeable in certain areas, but we are not authorities in any field. Remember, one man's tarnish is another man's patina..! If an item is 80/90/100 years old, it is NOT new and will not LOOK new - but isn't that part of an antique's charm and value..? Sellers: Shipping Map Counter by MyStoreMaps Informati...
