Pristine condition. In 1968 The Liberty Bell Foundation of Boston, Massachusetts was marketing a limited edition 1/5th scale model Liberty Bell replica, cast by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry of London, England, to the Original Designs of that foundry for the Liberty Bell cast there in 1752. This bell is one of the 2,400 numbered and registered commemorative edition bells produced between 1968-1976. This sale is for a Limited Edition Liberty Bell on Oak Base, with Original Cover Letter from Whitechapel showing this bell was purchased in 1969. After moving to Montana, the original owner gifted this bell to a local history teacher and it was displayed in her classroom for 20 years until her recent retirement. There are two plaques with inscriptions on the bell... the standard plaque on the right side reads... "Cast by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry, London, to the original design of the Liberty Bell Cast by Them on the Same Site in the Year of Our Lord 1752." The left side plaque was for personalized inscriptions - (and can be removed without harming the bell or stand) - this one was requested at time of order by original
