This is an 8 place setting set of the Liberty Blue china made in England specifically for the USA Bicentennial 1976 and was only available for a short time. This was my mother's set, which we are selling to settle her estate. All of the pieces listed are in good to fine condition with some signs of usage but no cracks, chips, or other problems. The pieces are as follows: 16 total coffee cups (my mom bought extra cups because this china is prone to coffee stains, so she had extras for show that were never used), gravy boat and separate under plate, pair of salt & peppers, 13 dinner plates, 8 luncheon plates, 8 dessert plates, 8 bread & butter plates, 8 saucers, 1 large round serving bowl, 1 oval serving bowl, 1 medium platter, 1 large platter, 1 creamer, 1 sugar bowl & lid, 8 small berry bowls, 8 cereal bowls. The designs on the pieces are: Gravy boat: Lafayette Landing at West Point; S&P: Ride of Paul Revere; Dinner plates: Independence Hall; cups: Ride of Paul Revere; oval bowl: Minutemen; medium platter: Governor's House at Williamsburg; large platter: Washington Crossing the Delaware; gravy plate: Governor's House at Williamsburg; round serving bowl: Fraunces Tavern; luncheon plates: Washington at Valley Forge; small berry bowls: Betsy Ross; saucers: Old North Church; dessert plates: Washington Leaving Christ Church; cereal bowls: Mt. Vernon; sugar bowl: Betsy Ross; creamer: Ride of Paul Revere; bread & butter plates: Monticello. Also pictured is the actual newspaper advertisement for these dishes which were made available through some grocery stores at the time as premiums with purchase. The advertisement is genuine and is laminated to preserve it. The pieces were purchased by my mother over the time of the offering until she completed her set. Shipping of all of these pieces will best be accomplished by packing in several boxes to alleviate the chance of breakage. I am very careful with shipping breakables and have never had anything arrive damaged. Nonetheless, everything does need to be insured to protect the investment. I have listed a number of other fine collectibles from the estate as it winds down. We appreciate your interest and please email me if you have any questions. Shipping will be calculated to actual buyer address and will be best accomplished if items are packed into 2 to 3 cartons for safety as one carton will be too big. I will discount shipping if possible and insurance will be included in the cost at no charge.
