Published by Derby And Miller, New York, 1865. Brown leather. Book Condition: Good. First Edition. Raymond was the editor of the New York Times. The full title is " The Life And Public Services Of Abraham Lincoln , Sixteenth President Of The United States , Together With His State Papers , Including His Speeches , Addresses , Messages , Letters , And Proclamations , And The Closing Scenes Connected With His Life And Death ". The Frontispiece is a steel engraving of Lincoln engraved by A H. Ritchie, Illustrated with fifteen additional engravings. The interior is very clean, except for some staining on two pages where someone left clovers in the book long ago--see photos. Some foxing on frontispiece pages and engravings with tissue. All material , including the advertising material, is present, 808 pages plus the advertising pages . Some staining on cover, worn corners. Gilted page edges and gold spine graphics are bright. The front spine hinge is torn 1/3 of the way up, but spine is intact otherwise. This book is in remarkable condition for its age. Hopefully I have clearly depicted the condition of this book with photos.
