Sign up for my email newsletters by adding my eBay Store to your Favorites THE LIFE AND TIMES OF REMBRANDT VAN RIJN By Hendrik Willem Van Loon Printed by the Literary Guild, New York, 1930 ESTATE FIND! 570-page hardback book by Hendrik Willem Van Loon, which is an account of the last years and death of the famous 15th Century Dutch artist, Rembrandt Harmenszoon Van Rijn, of Amsterdam, Holland. The book was adopted from the writings and personal recollections of Dr. Joannis van Loon, a contemporary of Rembrandt and great-great-grandfather, nine times removed, from the author. Book has a number of black and white illustrations. Rough cut pages. Cloth covered board cover. (See photos above for Table of Contents). CONDITION: Cover shows some fading, particularly along spine. Wear at bottom of spine and tip ends of corners. Inside pages are clean but slightly yellowed from age. A few fleabites along very outer edges of pages, which can be seen when book is closed.
