You are bidding on a first edition 2 volume set of 'Lights and Shades of Military Life' by Sir Charles Napier 1840. The books are about snippets and stories from the Peninsular War and have both British and French ancedotes. The books are in good used condition with a fair bit of wear and staining to the outer cloth covers and foxing to many of the pages. However they are a very honest and readable set of books.
