Offered today is a nicely made hand-forged hammer. This lightweight hammer has a 4" long head and is 11" overall. The handle is tightly fitted with the head correctly aligned and it has a nicely balanced feel. The maker embellished the relieved areas with an octagonal configuration (visible in photos). The poll is rounded and similar to a farrier's nailing hammer, and the pein is an unusual square. Could be used for coppersmithing, tinsmithing, light blacksmithing, etc.
