Included are two fitted mahogany lift-out trays, polished brass quadrant hinges and handles, custom lock and key. Featuring the new Diamond Crown Humidification System. Hygrometer included. Each Humidor is born of the heritage that spans well over a century of woodworking artistry. The prestigious firm of Reed & Barton, singularly renowned as the foremost manufacturer of hand-crafted hardwood chests, produces the family of Colonial and Continental Humidors in the United States.

The Humidors are made from American hardwoods, specifically grown in the Appalachian Mountain Region, w trees grown at this higher elevation grow very slowly, lending more stability to the wood and yielding a superior grain. The lumber is Kiln Dried to 6% moisture content before production, which is the average atmospheric moisture content in the United States - an important step that prevents warping or cracking of wood.

In the intricate manufacturing process REED & BARTON devotes special attention to every detail involved in the more than 65 separate hand operations required in the creation of each Humidor. The Colonial Series, for instance, is constructed with joints that are mitered and precisely notched to solidly lock the corners together so that they will not move or come apart. The exclusive four-step Mahogany and Cherry Hand Rubbed Finishing Process enhances the grain and texture of the wood, making each humidor truly a "one of a kind" masterpiece.

The Continental Series recreated an art-form that originated over 300 years ago in Salerno, Italy. Reed & Barton painstakingly hand-crafts inlays of exotic hardwoods into the humidors to give the Continental Series their classic contemporary motifs. The humidors are then lacquered to a mirror-like high gloss finish, further complimenting the wood's beautiful contrasting tones.

Every Humidor is initially constructed as a six-sided box, then cut open to form a separate base and lid sections. In this way, the lid and base will always be flush and fit properly, and the continuity of the distinctive grain of each piece will be ensured.

Humidors are designed to enhance the cigar smoking experience for today's premium cigar smoker. Spanish Cedar, with its distinct aromatic character, is used to line every humidor.
