Village Green has been displayed in a closed curio in my home since 2002. It has no chips, cracks, repairs or other blemishes and is as if new. It comes with the factory box and Certificate of Authenticity identifying it as number 1126 of an issue of 2500. The piece is 6.6 ins tall, 8.0 inches wide and 8.0 inches deep. The shipping weight will be around 10.0 lbs. Village Green is based on Finchingfield in Essex, a pretty village around a green and duck pond. On a 20 foot mound near the centre of the village there stands the Duck End Mill which dates back to 1756. It is called a post mill as it is built around a central post which allows the whole mill to turn for the sails to catch the best wind. This was done manually by the miller using a ‘tailpole’. The model is full of interesting people going about their business. A well detailed scene that would attract interest from the owner and guests alike. Village Green comes with a stained and polished hardwood plinth to enhance its display. .
