Lima HO 208089 SP EMD Locomotive With Box This auction is for Lima HO 208089 Southern Pacific EMD Locomotive in its original box. The loco and box are in absolutely perfect condition. The retail protective cardboard cover is still in place, this train has never seen the light of day. I'm not sure what model the loco is, I can not find another like it. I'm also not sure when this engine would have been made, the box is an older style, 1970's or 80's maybe. Lima (of Italy) has been out of business for over ten years now. Whenever made this Locomotive is just beautiful. White on Red/Yellow paint scheme is stunning. The detail is fantastic. One of Lima's "Top Of The Line" models they don't make'em like this anymore. Very high quality. You will not see this nice a model in the average hobby shop today, and if you did the price would be many times the starting bid on this auction. High detail bogies with blackened wheels, see through venting, steps are mounted on the trucks, the list of finerys goes all the way around this well done loco. Not all the pics have captions, with some you just look at the picture. Being rare, and in this fine condition this hard to find item would make an excellent addition to any collectors inventory or a "Beauty In Motion" for the operator. Briefly bench tested, runs smoothly and light lights. Nice and heavy, feels like quality. Like new. Bottom is clean and still has its "Quality" sticker from the factory. Blackened wheels and gears appear unused and clean. The box is in excellent condition. Styrofoam insert is clean and unbroken. No price stickers or writting. And of course comes with its protective cardboad cover, the plastic window perfect. Take advantage of the combined shipping and you can make a good deal a good deal better, shipping for two or three items is not much more than one. After collecting for many years I am now selling my entire collection of toys and trains (well most of it anyway), a little at a time. I'm not an expert on toys or trains but I do know something about trains having had a layout for many years in the past. I know a little about vintage toys but again I'm not an expert by any means. Please ask any questions before bidding and I will do my best to answer them, I have everything I'm listing at home and can take a better look should you have a question. Money Orders are OK and I ship as soon as I receive a United States Post Office Money Order, United States Bank Money Order or any other nationally known Money Orders. I do not accept personal checks because when they bounce I'm not only out the item, the shipping cost and the eBay fees but my bank charges me $30.00 also (I know because it has already happened). Returns : Returns not accepted unless the listing is totaly incorrect so PLEASE look at the pictures and E-Mail any questions before bidding. Shipping : I try to get shipping as close to actual cost as possible and will ship via the United States Post Office (sorry no UPS or FEDX). I use priority mail because its faster and seems to suffer less abuse and the boxes are free, its just a few pennies more. Please add the post office charges for insurance if you require insurance, I can not be responsible for items broken or missing in shipping. Rest assured your item will be well packaged.
