Charles Limbert, reclining, Morris, rocking chair with original finish and leather cushions. The slats in the bottom are also original and in excellent condition. The chair is made of hand-selected quarter-sawn white oak, steam-bent back and rockers and pinned true thru-tenon construction. Reclines in three positions. This chair is in excellent condition, especially the finish. The right arm is missing the corbel. The only other flaws I notice are the pins do not appear to be original and the seat cushion has two separations on the box, on the front corner seams. See image. The chair measures 40" deep (front of arm to back of arm) and is 31 1/2" wide. The height of the back of the chair from the floor (not including the cushion) is 30 1/2'. I've had the chair since 1982 and it has been in storage most of the time. For shipping I recommend you contact Craters & Freighters. Pick up is welcome and storage is not a problem.
The chair is stamped with Limbert mark under the arm. Just to clarify the shipping procedure: Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and costs. I added two images: one of the Limbert stamp/brand under the arm and one of the chair from the front showing the missing corbel under the right arm.To further clarify: The leather cushions are original which is quite rare. Please see images of fronts and backs of cushions. The condition is excellent. The original upholsterylabel is on the underside of the seat cushion. See image. The seat cushion has springs which was standard for Limbert. The wood on top of the left arm is not cracked. It is a seam. The seam is most visible in front of the peg w it has very slightly opened. Otherwise it is tight. T is no attempt to hide flaws in my description or images. This chair is in incredible condition.
