Original limited edition Michel Delacroix print of Passage Cloute that features a nursery school with the French flag and a policeman directing the traffic. Charming street scene in Delacroix' unique Naif style. Framed and matted, Signed by the artist as number 4 in a limited edition of 150 Delacroix was born in Paris in the 14me. arrondisement in 1933, and he began painting at the age of seven Growing up during the time of the occupation his paintings show the naivete of his age and the city at a time when there were few automobiles. The exuberance and vitality of his street scenes shown at that time still capture the unique charm of Parisian neighborhoods today. Delacroix was educated at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris and experimented with several different painting styles, stabilizing on the Naïf tradition, his characteristic style, by the time he was 35. Throughout the course of his career, Delacroix has been honored with many awards. His paintings have featured in over 300 exhibitions in the United States. The frame size is 34" x 30" x 1".
