Up for auction is a beautiful and well done replica of the first Bel Air, the 1950 Chevrolet. One of Franklin Mints finer offerings this miniature Bel Air boasts features not found on most other 1/24th scale model . Details such as a functioning suspension, a fully wired and plumbed engine bay and metal badges front and rear...real badges, not painted. A close inspection of just about any diecast car will uncover little flaws or condition issues, many sellers will not disclose minor problems with their diecasts. I carefully inspect each car I sell and I do include a description of any discovered flaws or damage in my listings. My inspection of this diecast revealed a couple of issues you should be aware of prior to bidding. Those issues are: As there is a crack in the mirror/spotlight stem I suspect that it was broken off and reattached at some point. There is also a crack in the base of the radio antenna. The diecast comes with all of the original packaging. The inner graphic box is in relatively good condition with very little damage or wear, however the outer white box is in poor shape with stains, writing, and labels attached. It was used as a shipping box at some time.
