This is beautiful 1986 centennial commemorative plate of the Statue of Liberty done by the great artists of Pickard China - Chicago, IL. T were only 10,000 made and the #1 issue was received by the President of the United States, it is now owned by the President's office. This plate is #1678 out of 10,000. A percent of the issue price of each plate was donated to the restoration of the Statue of Liberty. It measures approximately 9-1/2" in diameter. The center of the plate has the Statue of Liberty handpainted in 24K gold. It has a wide cobalt blue rim trimmed on both sides with 24k gold and covering the cobalt blue is a 24k gold designed wreath with the words Liberty Enlightening The World 1886 1986. The plate is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. It come with the original Pickard box. This plate speaks for itself. It is BEAUTIFUL.
