Please know that if paying by PayPal's E-Check, I hold the item until the funds are deposited to my account. This auction is for a Limoges box with a cat on it's bed. The box clasp is in the shape of a cat's head. The right side of the face is bent inward just a slight bit to hold the box lid closed. The cat's head on the clasp is hollow so I would think the slight bend is original. Inside the box is the outline of a mouse. The box is in excellent shape with no issues. The bottom is not glazed and has the Limoges France stamp and the words peint main (hand painted) and looks like the artists signature (Noals?). The box is 2 3/8" long and 1 3/4" high from the head of the cat to the bottom of the box. I don't know much about Limoges boxes so I have no idea how old the box is other than it is somewhere between about 1910 and today (about 1910 is when legislation was passed that required imported goods to have the country of origin on the piece).I have owned this box for quite a few years and am now wishing to part with it to pursue other interests.
