Limoges Box - Peint Main - CHAMART - Bouquet of Royal Purple Tulips - Stunning! - MINT!This Limoges box is shaped like a bunch of tulips and the color is just stunning! The tulips are a deep, royal purple with a blue highlight in the center of each bud. I am listing this piece as used, but it was purchased new and has spent it's entire life in a glass enclosed curio cabinet, so the condition is Excellent. The only thing that keeps me from saying Mint is the fact that the hinge is a little loose, so even though the box snaps shut, there is a little play up and down when the box is closed. This is not something you'd ever notice until you pick up the box - it affects neither the form nor the function of the piece. Furthermore, I have had a number of these exact pieces (in different colors), and ALL of them have had this same play on the hinge. Just so you know :) Chamart never does anything halfway and these tulips are no exception - they are spectacular! The box measures 2" wide x 2" deep (measurements taken at widest point) x 2 3/8" tall. It opens smoothly, closes with a snap and the clasp is a rose with foliage. Would be a wonderful addition to any collection!
