This listing is for a Vintage, Limoges China Co, Cream and Covered Sugar Set in the Bluebird pattern. The Bluebird pattern was produced in the 1920's and features beautiful blue birds on delicate rose sprays with blue trim. The birds are gorgeous and exquisitely done. The blanks are broad octagon in design with large handles, adding character and uniqueness to the pieces. The underside of the pieces are marked "Limoges China Co, USA" along with the year and month they were produced "24" on both pieces "0" on the sugar, "11" on the creamer. The creamer also has the decorator mark "327 8" in gold. - The Creamer measures 4 3/4" across parallel sides and 3 1/4" high to the peak of the handle. - The Sugar and Lid measure 5 5/8" across parallel sides and 3 1/2" high to the peak of the lid. Combined the set weighs 1 lb 2.4 oz. The sugar has a small chip on the outer lip, the cover has a small shallow chip on the underside in the matching spot which is not visible when in place. The Creamer and balance of the Sugar are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or fleabites. Both pieces have extremely light crazing which is difficult to see. The artwork is in wonderful condition with no nicks or marks, including on the blue trim. This set will make a great addition to an American China or Cream and Sugar collection.
