HAND PAINTED LIMOGES SEAFOOD PLATE (Plate 5) This auction is the fifth of six hand painted Limoges sea life plates to be listed. It is hand painted with sea life, including seashells, clams and underwater plants. The plate is done is soft pastels of pink and green . The pictures do not do them justice. All plates measure almost 8 ½ inches across (a little under). They were manufactured by Lanternier and date between 1891 and 1914. As well as the mark shown t is an impressed mark that will not photograph - it is Lanternier Mark 4. This plate is in excellent condition. For accuracy purposes I will mention that t is a break in the glaze on the back of the plate. It it no way takes away from the beauty.....and cannot be seen on the front. Just a factory flaw. T are no chips, cracks or repairs. I will be happy to combine shipping if you bid and win more than one plate.I try to describe items to the best of my ability, I am not an expert. All items are old and have normal age wear. Anything unusual will be mentioned in the description. Shipping costs will be determined from my zip code (23024) to yours. You pay only actual shipping fees, t are no added costs except insurance based on the final value of the item sold.
