Hi! Thanks for checking out my auctions today. This one is for a very nice hand painted Limoges plaque which was done by the famous Limoges artist, L. Coudert. It features a white breasted game bird painted with field grass in the background. The bird has very good detail which is accomplished from layers and layers of paint being applied to give it that dimension. You can find the same plaque in Mary Frank Gaston's Third Edition Limoges book on page 80. It is 10" in diameter. The front of the plate is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or scratching. The back has two small holes on the rim which you can see in the last picture. The one hole is right w the factory drilled hole is to hang it. I bet someone dinged it on a nail when they were hanging it on the wall. It does not go all the way to the drilled hole so you could still hang it that way if you wanted. These minor deficiencies are nothing that diminishes it's beauty. I'm sure it will be treasured for many, many years to come. Bid with confidence!
