Very beautiful Limoges powder box and hair receiver handpainted with violets, realistic violet leaves, stemmed violets and muted forest like colors. Both have almost identical painting style and type but surprisingly, both have different stamps on the bottom! The powder box has the William Guerin Limoges mark # 3dating early 1900's. The hair receiver has the Tressmann & Vogt mark # 5a dating early 1900's. Seeing the paintings on these two, one can assume very logically that both blanks came to the same factory or studio from the different maker's and were either painted to go with each other or by the same artist or both! Kind of interesting! No chips, cracks or wear other than to the hair receiver opening where there is some slight gold loss. Perfect condition other than that. Tray being sold seperatly. Thanks for looking!
