Here is a sensational Limoges oval serving bowl that is masterful in design. The colors are vivid and naturalistic. The detail is exceptional! It has purple and apricot colored enameled flowers embracing the edges in a fabulous free flowing form. The outer rim is gold gilded with an interior rim that is in a pale pea green with specks of gold enameling throughout. The bowl is in very good condition Ã,Â- though there is some minute wear to the gold gilding on the outer rim. It measures 10 1/8Ã,Â"l x 7 Ã,½Ã,Â"w x 2 5/8Ã,Â"h. There is an impressed mark on the bottom of an intertwined RM in fancy script Ã,Â- you can find this same mark in the book Distinctive Limoges Porcelain by Keith & Thomas Waterbrook-Clyde on page 237 for Martial Redon (1882-1896.) There is also an impressed mark of the number 9 along with and R in a box. There is an underglaze mark on the bottom of an M & R in green. You can find this same mark in the book CollectorÃ,Â's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mark Frank Gaston on page 269 for Martial Redon (1882-1890). In fancy script it is also marked in red RB Striving For Excellence It isnÃ,Â't brilliance or just getting the breaks, It is consistent attention to & honest respect for the Customer.
