Antique Limoges Wash Stand Set comprising of 8 pieces total, (Soap dish has an insert to drain the bar of soap) in remarkable condition with no signs of cracks or chips on any of the pieces. T is rub wear to the gilt on all pieces commesurate with the age of this set, but the signatures are all clear with Limoges and France with three stars in between written in green and underglaze. The lids are not signed nor is the soap dish insert but this is normal and the set is clearly all original and intact, not a marrying up of odd pieces. The bowl measures 16" diameter and 6" height. The jug is 13" in height and approx 7 1/2" in maximum diameter. The Chamber pot is 8 1/2" diameter and 5 1/2" height and the soapdish is 3 3/4" wide, 5 3/4" long. What I am calling a toothbrush holder is 9 1/4" long and 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" in height and has raised scalloped stands inside to hold the contents off the bottom. These spectacular pieces make a remarkable set and to find them in such pristine yet antique condition is truly rare. Seldom is such a large set without cracks or repairs or chips and this set is like it was when first produced except for considerable wear to the gilt having been used for many years.
