This is a collection of Lincoln Cents that is mostly complete. There are 266 coins housed in Three new Whitman folders . The set starts with a 1909 VDB and ends with the new 2012-D shield coin; and also includes the P and D Log Cabin coins, P and D Rail splitter coins, the P and D Professional Life coins and the P and D Presidency coins. The number One folder includes one variety coin. A Wheat Reverse design. The number Two folder includes reverse designs for Wheat, Memorial and Shield coins. The number Three folder includes The four Bi-centennial Reverse coins and a Shield Reverse. This set is missing the four key Wheat Cents. Missing are: 1909-S VDB, 1909-S, 1914-D, and 1931-S. Just like the Pink Bunny, a lot of coins in this set just keep going, going, going escalating in price. They are getting very difficult to obtain and a lot of them, that are available, aren't that good. Folks who have the ones that are, aren't giving them away. The Six Semi-Keys; 1910-S, 1912-S, 1913-S, 1914-S, 1915-S, and 1922-D now cost over $100 and that's with a lot of luck, a bit of skill and a lot of time spent weeding out the chafe!! The 1911-S and 1924-D will cost a good chunk of another $100. A couple years ago, I had quite a few Semi keys, in all the grades. I still have many Fine, Very Fine and Extremely Fine semi key coins. Goods and VG's, it is no longer the case. I sold over a dozen of these and at least a half dozen VG sets over the last year or so. I encourage you to check out these others also; 1909 VDB, 1911-D, 1912-D, 1913-D, 1923-S, 1926-S, 1931-D and 1933-D. More Pricey coins. You'll find 1909, 1912, 1915, 1915-D, 1916-S, 1921-S, 1924-S, 1927-S, 1932, 1932-D and 1933 on the move too. I watch these weekly, and this trend isn't reversing itself. Why should it?? The Lincoln Wheat Cent is the most collected single coin in the world; with an estimated 16 million collectors, world wide. Most of the above coins didn't even have that large of a mintage. I invite you to compare(I DO), and if you find a set that contains everything included here and the same quality , for less money; buy it and if they have two, tell me where and I'll buy one. There are no error coins(I do not check for them), double dies(I only check for the 1955) or Proofs included. There is no slot in this folder for a 1955 Double Die and none is included. The above coins will range in grade from Good to Very Fine. 1941 thru 1958D wheat Cents are VF/XF or better. The Memorials from 1959 up to 2012-D are all uncirculated. No Small dates.
