For President, Abraham Lincoln of Illinois; For Vice-President, AndrewJohnson of Tenn. -- Corner card in decorated box which is printed oncover together with the address of soldier’s wife or mother in Berrien Springs Michigan, and then the printed sender’s military address -- From C.W. Benson, Battery K, 1 st Wisconsin Heavy Artillery. Washington DC postmark with bold circle-of-wedges killer cancels 3-Cent Rose (#65). The cover is reduced a bit at left, just into the corner card. Most unusual! I have never encountered pre-printed soldier’s stationery; and with Lincoln campaigning to boot? Likely unique. __________________ A 7.5% sales tax will be added if buyer has a California shipping address. No reserve; No buy-it-now; Just a real auction!
