OFFERING the ORIGINAL 1865 SHEET MUSIC composed by E. MACK after the assassination of PRESIDENT LINCOLN who died April 15th, 1865, at the age of 57.... which was dedicated "To The People of The UNited States" ........" PRESIDENT LINCOLN'S FUNERAL MARCH " ....published by LEE & WALKER on Chestnut St., in Philadelphia. in 1865..The number 4 appears in a small printed star in the lower right corner......T is a very handsome print of the President on the cover .... His image measures 4 1/2 " X 6" and is in superb condition printed with a beige background in an oval wreath .... CONDITION: GOOD....It measures 10 1/4" x 13 " and contains three pages of music. It has been neatly removed from having been bound in an album and the pages have separated from the frayed spine .However the overall appearance is powerful and strong, ..T was a tear at the lower right border that was repaired neatly on the reverse with vintage paper tape. T is some light toning and minor foxing around the borders and on the back cover., which features a catalogue of musical publications by Lee & Walker.....The sheet is printed in black & white not as the overall scan shows a blue tint This sheet music is part of collection that I will be listing of original CIVIL WAR MUSIC published in 1864-65...They were all disbound and have frayed spines..but, aside from that , most are in GOOD condition...I will describe any exceptions to the best of my ability...Questions are welcome and will be responded promptly...
