Linder Trapper (Like White Hunter) Solingen Germany Stag Bowie KnifeYou are bidding on a Linder German (Solingen), Genuine Stag Handle, 10 ½ inch Bowie knife. This is a very well made knife with a 440 stainless steel blade 6 inches long. This knife is very similar in size, shape and function to the Puma(c) White Hunter which differs in length and other dimensions by about 1/10 of an inch and a lanyard hole. In fact the distributor from whom I purchased this called it a "White Hunter" but the blade is marked "Trapper" (probably to avoid legal difficulties).The etch on the blade reads "Linder 440 Trapper Knife - 440 Steel Solingen Germany Inox RostFrei". The blade is quite thick, about 1/5 of an inch, with the weight shifted to the front for heavy skinning or chopping. The back of the blade has a nearly sharpened section about 3 inches long that can be used in dressing out an animal to crack bones or for other heavy chopping chores.The guard is brushed aluminum. The blade will easily and smoothly PUSH completely through a sheet of 24 pound computer paper edge on. The Stag handle is fitted snugly to the guard and secured to the full tang extension of the blade by 3 brass pins flared onto nickel silver retainers. It comes with a beautiful top grain double stitched, welted, hard leather sheath. It is brand new and mint. This is great
