POPEYE AND ROWBOAT WITH MOVING OARS by LineMAR Toys, 1950’s– RARE! EXCELLENT TO NEAR MINT! Tough to find a better example then this one. 10” long and 12”+ in width with the moving oars. I have only seen a few of these in my 21 years of dealing in Popeye toys. Very seldom do you find one with the original oars, and rudder for the boat. Very scarce. This is a great 1950’s Popeye battery operated character toy with beautiful litho, bright colors and great shine. I think this toy has the best and most creative action of all the Popeye battery operated toys. Please review the pictures. Many of these have corrosion in several spots from being played with or left with water to set in or on them. This example has very nice litho. Popeye has a professionally replacement rubber pipe bowl as the original. The rest of the toy is all tin. Comes with the remote as seen in the pictures and video. Check out the video of the toy in operation. This is not a new toy or copy; it is the original from around 1956! If you collect character toys, then this is the toy for you.
