It was published in the United States by Reynal and Company in association with William Morrow and Company, Inc. The book is a hard cover with a dust jacket, measuring 8 1/2 x 11 1/4 inches with 48 pages. This book is a fantasy for adults and children. An enchanting book about a lion and a Brazilian butterfly named Blue. Cowles has added to the magic of her illustrations by using a "cutout" technique to create close-ups and hints of "what is to come" on the following pages. A truly lovely book, the art is a mix between a very cool retro '70s look and a soft, wide-eyed freshness. You should be able to judge the condition of the book by It is in very good used condition; the hard cover is wonderful with a very small bit of fraying at the bottom of the spine, the dust jacket is poor, with quite a bit of foxing on the interior and several tears on the front and spine; the price has also been clipped on the interior flap.
