(616A)From the late 1940's here is a Lionel 0/027 gauge #675 2-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Loco and matching #2466WX Whistling Tender being offered as is for clean up, servicing and repair. The loco features a die-cast boiler that needs a clean up. The loco should clean up to better than very good condition with some slight wear of the black paint around the edges. There is some slight surface rust on the drive rods. The loco was bench tested, it does run but the reverse unit tends to hang up and works when it feels like it. The smoke unit is present but did not work. The matching tender has no breaks in the plastic tender and no rust on the sheet metal chassis and trucks. When tested the relay inside the tender One of the connecting wires to the truck is broken. The electro coupler on the tender did work. There is an original insert for the loco, the box and insert for the tender are worn, all of the end flaps are missing. This great loco is being offered totally as is for clean up, servicing and repair of the tender wires.
