This was the first Lionel locomotive fitted with the infamous æScoutæ Motor. This is the more common plastic version. While by no means rare, this engine is a little tougher to find than the later Scout engines. Features include a motor with reverse and operating light. Completely operable, this piece shows signs of use, with a few scratches along the shell and cab roof. The drawbar connection on the rear of the loco is broken, and t is rub mark in the plastic. T is also rust spots on the side rods. The road numbers are complete. Overall condition is Very Good-plus. This item was inspected by both our in-house Lionel Postwar experts and by our Authorized Lionel Service Station and we guarantee this item is completely functional and operable.
