(092) From 1956 here is a Lionel 0/027 gauge #1543 Freight Train Set in the Original Set Box. This nice 4 piece set is headed by a #627 Lehigh Valley 44 Ton Diesel Loco that is in excellent condition with no breaks or dings. There is a small stress mark at the screw hole. The sheet metal chassis is clean and rust free. The loco was bench tested, it is a nice runner and the 4 position reverse unit works as it should. The cars include a #6112 gondola with 4 original red canisters, a #6121 gray sheet metal flatcar with 3 nice original silver pipes. There are a few small rust spots on the chassis. The final car is a #6017 Caboose that is complete with no breaks. The entire set is rust free, there is just a trace of dust on the freight cars. The original set box is complete with all flaps, there is a tear with a tape repair in one flap and there are small tears in the corners of the boxes. There are no small component boxes, track or transformer. A great set for the layout or collection. High bidder agrees to pay U.S.P.S.
