L ionel1615 Switcher Locomotive & Slope Back Tender (01) Here forauction is an excellent Lionel 1615 Switcher locomotive & tender. This engine runs beautifully forward, neutral, and reverse. Headlight as seen in pictures. If you are unfamiliar with this engine, it is not the typical 4 wheel driver Lionel locomotive such as a Lionel Scout. This has a high quality motor, motor frame, etc. It is more akin to the normal 6 wheel driver "high quality" loco’s such as 675, 2026, etc. You will notice these go for quite a bit more than the other 0-4-0’s seen here on eBay. Here is an opportunity to pick up a nice one. Both front marker jewel holders & jewels have been upgraded as seen in pictures. This is likely one of the best 1615's here on eBay. Just add a set of side rods that can be found here on eBay & elsewhere and you will have a beauty! Note: slope back tender in note the original, but will look the part.
