LIONEL 1656 PRR BELL RINGING SWITCHER AND 6403B TENDER LOT DESCRIPTION: As the title says this lot consists of a LIONEL 1656 PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD DIE CAST 0-4-0 STEAM SWITCHER AND CORRECT MATCHING 6403B TENDER that was made in the late 1940s. The locomotive has a operating headlight and front coupler and the tender has the all metal staple end trucks with coil coupler and it also has a backup light and the unique bell ringing feature. Both pieces are all original Post War Lionel including all original paint, letters and numbers. DESCRIPTION OF CONDITION: The locomotive and tender are both in very nice shape. The loco casting is perfect, no breaks, cracks or chips. Both classification lights (often broken off) are perfect as are the front cowcatcher steps. No rust or missing parts, great color, numbers nice and clear, front decal looks fine. Some minor rubs here and there. The tender too looks fine, no cracks, breaks or chips on the shell, lettering crisp and clear, and couplers in great shape. Typical minor playwear rubs on the loco but no real issues here at all. Again, a nice looking set that IMHO I would rate as in excellent minus condition (because of the rubs) but look at the pictures and you be the judge.
