Hello New York Central enthusiasts, collectors, and Lionel 3-rail, O-scale operators . . . For your consideration - this pristine, mint in original box Lionel Standard-O smoking caboose # 6-17606 in the sharp-looking New York Central "Pacemaker" colors – produced for just one year in 1990. This car is out of the box for the first time for this photo (see below), and has never been out of the plastic. Several nice features on this one… flashing rear end-of-train (EOT) warning light, cam-operated smoke unit, die-cast arch bar trucks, separately-applied detailing such as grab irons & hand railings, and tool boxes with sliding doors that reveal simulated hand tools inside. Smoke stack is taped to the bottom of the chassis, just as shipped from factory …BLT 1-90, the first Standard-O caboose to feature a smoke unit, plus a new body style with fine rivet and catwalk detail. Original tube of smoke fluid, instruction sheet, Lionel Service Station listing, and warranty card are all included …a really nice find for the Lionel collector.
