Back from the Good Old Days when Lionel was made in the USA! This attractive Passenger Car features Metal Couplers, Metal wheels and axles, and has nice detailing. This Passenger Car is in Very Good condition and has an overall nice appearance. It has several minor playwear marks throughout and the railing has been glued on one end; a very good job using JB Weld, so it is on there well and it is a barely noticeable repair (see the close up picture). These flaws are very minor and do not detract from the otherwise Nice appearance of this car. It is very clean, all original, and looks great. The wheels, axles, and underbody rails are very clean. All 8 wheels spin freely having just been oiled. It is ready to run on your layout, and will look nice on your display shelf. As with all of my auctions, I have included several pictures so that you can best determine it’s condition. You’ll know what you are bidding on and won’t be disappointed! The 2009 Greenberg's Lionel Trains Pocket Price Guide lists the # 1865 General Passenger Car at $50.00 Excellent and $28.00 Good. See the shipping calculator for your shipping charges anywhere in the USA, via USPS Priority Mail. It will be very well packed before shipment. Please feel free to ask any questions. Please check out my other auctions. I have several other Train items listed now. I am not a dealer, but a collector with way too many trains! I really don’t want to sell any of these train items, but space is at a premium right now and some things just have to go! L And most of all, Have Fun!!!! PLEASE READ THIS: In regard to Shipping, the cost of Shipping has increased dramatically beginning in 2011. All the major carriers set their prices based on weight, and I as a seller have no control over this. I do not attempt to profit from shipping; I just charge to cover my costs, and seek the least expensive methods possible to save you money. 99% of the time I ship USPS; in spite of their recent rate hikes, USPS is still the least expensive way for me to ship to you. In some cases, particularly items that weigh between 1 to 3 pounds, Priority Mail service actually costs less than the slower Parcel Post service. Flat Rate Boxes will be used only when they offer a cost savings on heavy items that will fit inside them. Small items that weigh 13 ounces or less will ship First Class mail, which costs much less. (You can check this out for yourself at , my zip code is 34224.) So, please don’t think that I am overcharging you for shipping. I am trying my best to keep the costs down, and would appreciate a 5 Star Rating for shipping charges on eBay feedback. Thank You! Payment is due within 5 days and is by PayPal only. Please contact me within 2 days of the end of the auction if you are not paying soon after the end of the auction, so that I will know when to expect payment. Generally I do not accept returns unless I make a mistake in the listing, and then it would be purchase price less shipping both ways. I make every effort to ship as soon as possible after the item has been paid for.
