Lionel 4-4-0 Civil War General (1872), perfect conditions! looks like new! This is a nearly impossible to find engine in an impossible to find condition!! This engine was manufactured from 1959 to 1962. This is the Super O version of the General. This engine had all the detail, magnetization, a smoke unit and a working headlight!! This engine is in immaculate condition! The master carton is complete with no tears or breaks. The box for the 1872 locomotive is complete including the inner liner and removable "display" flap which looks as though it has been removed at one time. It is present. The box for the 1872T tender is complete with the exception of the removable "display" flap which is missing. Instruction sheet number 1872-71 11/59 is included as well as a tube of original lube. There are no breaks nor any damage to either the engine or tender. Both units are in excellent shape and show VERY little signs of any use.
