Presented for auction is the Rare Lionel 19939 Employee 1995 Christmas Boxcar, Variation "A" (no Lionel calendar) . This boxcar is brand new, unrun, and has never been out of its box, except to be photographed for this listing. Lionel built this rare uncataloged car in 1995. It was never available to the general public through any authorized Lionel retailers except if a retailer acquired one on the secondary market. Greenberg's 2009 Pocket Price Guide lists this car at $240 which is considerably more than our BIN price of $145. Summary Condition: Factory New/Brand New TCA Grade: C-9 (We never rate an item C-10, unless it is factory sealed.) Original Box: Yes Box Condition: Please note that I have two 19939's available. They are identical, except that one's box is a P-9, and the other's box is a P-7. The box that is a P-7 is shown in the above photographs. (Note the small crumpled area on box in third photograph. This damage does not appear to have penetrated the box and there is absolutely no damage to the boxcar itself.) The first buyer to purchase a 19939 will get the one with the P-9 box.
