Up for auction, is a pairof beautiful, Lionel # 2242 New Haven F-3 Diesel Locomotives. These pieces are vitually unrun, with the power A Unit having been on the track once or twice. The B Unit has never been on the track. The silver on these single motored gems is outstanding. There is only one rub on each square on the back of each roof. The horns are intact, and the bellies are nice. The pilot is unmarred, and the lettering is sharp. The pieces have only an original power box; the dummy B box is a repro. The engines are wrapped with original paper. The box is a C-7; the seam tape is disintegrating. The ends are super, with one end sealed. These pieces are part of a small, hi grade attic find in the metropolitan area. Watch my site for more listings of this great collection.
