You are bidding on a postwar Lionel #2331 Virginian F-M Train Master Diesel Locomotive that was cataloged from 1955 to 1958. This is the blue/yellow version (blue mold). This unit is in excellent+ condition and has no problems or damage. The battery compartment is problem-free. The plastic body is flawless (has one minute screw crack that is virtually invisible). The surfaces are extremely clean and have very few noticeable contact marks. The lettering is clear and bold. Decals are original and in good condition. The metal parts have excellent original finish (tiny trace of surface rust evident on battery plate). Features dual motors, Magne-traction, operating horn, operating couplers and operating headlights. Runs forward and reverse with a 3-position e-unit. This unit has been tested and was found to be in running condition. Absolutely nothing is broken or missing. Includes a worn original box (w/insert) that has no major problems or damage.
